SRINAGAR: The Director of Horticulture Kashmir, G. R. Mir, today conducted a tour of district Bandipora to assess and oversee the horticultural initiatives in the region.
The tour included a visit to the Fruit Plant Nursery in Bandipora and an inspection of the Checkreshipora Orchard.
During his visit to the Fruit Plant Nursery, he took stock of the ongoing developmental works and meticulously examined the functioning of the nursery. He emphasized the crucial role of producing high-quality planting material to ensure the success of horticultural endeavours in the region.
Addressing the officers and staff present, the Director of Horticulture provided valuable insights and advice on optimizing the efficiency of the nursery. He stressed the importance of adopting best practices in the production of planting material, ensuring that it meets the highest standards.
The Director was accompanied by Chief Horticulture Officer Bandipora and other officers from the Department during the visit.
