Jammu: A private car was charred to a crisp after it caught fire while crossing the Tawi bridge in Jammu on Sunday, officials said.
The mechanic driving the Tata Nano car jumped out of it to escape the fire.
The blaze, the cause of which was yet to be known, was doused by the Fire and Emergency Services personnel.
