Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra: Amitab Ranjan Sinha convenes review meeting at Bandipora

BANDIPORA: Union Joint Secretary and Additional Financial Advisor, Ministry of Defence, Amitab Ranjan Sinha, who is central Nodal Officer for Bandipora, on Thursday, convened an orientation cum review meeting to assess preparations for the ensuing ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad among other officers and officials.

Amitab Ranjan expressed satisfaction over the arrangements being put in place by the district administration for the Yatra. While interacting with Nodal Officers of the administration, he asked them to work in synergy to ensure the successful implementation of the ambitious initiative “Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra”. He also elaborately explained the broad contours of the Yatra.

While sharing details regarding the yatra, the Deputy Commissioner informed that the Government has nominated block Gurez of the district to create awareness of government welfare schemes to cover potential beneficiaries under the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Divas ‘Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat ‘ programme and ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ from November 15 to January 26.

He informed that various welfare schemes including Jandhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and central flagship schemes and services have been included in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Gurez Subdivision. He added that during the Yatra, publicity campaigns will be organised at Gram Panchayats. He informed that health camps, quizzes, discussions, exchange of views and cultural programmes will also be organised during the Yatra.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC Bandipora Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, SDM Gurez, ACR Bandipora, ACP Bandipora, JD Planning besides other concerned officers.
