Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief Vikar Rasool Wani on Wednesday urged the Party Leaders and workers to vigorously start mass contact programmes in their respective districts and areas and highlight the issues concerning the public for their resolution.

Wani, according to the JKPCC spokesperson, was addressing a meeting of District Congress Committee Presidents, District Incharges, Frontal Organization heads, Departments and Cells of JKPCC at the Srinagar Party office in which threadbare discussions were held on the current state of affairs in J&K, especially in Kashmir province.

Addressing the meeting JKPCC Chief told the Party Leaders that the BJP Govt at the Centre is punishing the people of J&K on different counts after snatching their democratic rights and downgrading a full-fledged State into two UTs in an undemocratic manner by a stroke of a pen just to settle political scores and rule J&K directly from the Centre.

It is a fact that the BJP Govt has made J&K testing laboratory where experiments are being done on daily basis to get benefited politically and mislead people in rest of the country on J&K’s prosperity and development, which is nowhere to be seen aiming to cover its (BJP) utter failure on all fronts, People have realized the misleading and hateful politics of BJP, PCC Chief added and said that J&K is the victim of BJP’s vendetta and divisive politics, but the Congress Party is fully capable to deal and defeat the BJP’s political ambitions, which are based on lies and deceit, he said.

JKPCC Chief said that the Party is preparing a roadmap to deal with the challenges particularly the political vendetta unleashed against “J&K”, besides the fake narrative being built by BJP for the lust for Power, while expressing grave concern over the prolonged delay in holding Assembly and other elections in J&K.

Vikar Rasool Wani felt confident that the Congress Party will emerge stronger in the forthcoming elections given the dedication and hard work of Party Cadres coupled with the pro-people policies of the Congress Party and its uncompromising fight against the loot of public money and divisive agenda of the BJP.

Apart from various other issues, the participants debated over the impact of the Party’s ongoing district-level review meetings and public outreach programmes, while resolving to hold similar review meetings at Tehsil/block levels across J&K to further strengthen the Party at grassroots.

JKPCC Senior Vice Presidents G.N.Monga (Ex. MLC) and Mohd Anwar Bhat also addressed the meeting and expressed confidence over the Congress Party’s acceptance and public appreciation of the work done by it(Congress) for the development and prosperity of J&K.

Frontal Organizations Heads, DCC Presidents, Incharge Districts, and PCC Functionaries also spoke on the occasion.
