The Commissioner Secretary congratulated the selected trainees and advised them to work hard towards performing their duty with utmost devotion. He also expressed gratitude to the company for providing job opportunities to these ITI students. He impressed upon other pass-outs to participate in such placement drives to get dignified employment opportunities.

Recently, the Directorate of Skill Development in collaboration with Ashok Leyland, conducted a placement drive for ITI passouts in different ITIs of Jammu Province and selected 17 candidates.

Pertinently, a MoU was inked recently between the University of Jammu and the Department of Skill Development to promote skill development and scientific research for establishing a better skill ecosystem in JK. This MoU will go a long way in supporting the youth of J&K for more placement opportunities and self-entrepreneurship initiatives.

Also, the Directorate of Skill Development is working hard towards creating employment opportunities for its ITI pass-outs and is in the continuous process of conducting placement drives.
