B2V-5: Special Secretary Education, VOs interact with people

KULGAM: The Jammu and Kashmir UT government’s ambitious ‘Back to Village (B2V5)’ Programme continued on day two in 84 Panchayats of the Kulgam district.

During the programme, Prabhari Officers interacted with the public in these 84 panchayats. They undertook a review of previous and current year deliverables with a special focus on improving e-services penetration and user experience for greater accessibility.

Special Secretary of Education, Naseer Ahmad Wani who remained available in Pahloo Panchayat also interacted with the people and took stock of development.

He along with other officers also inspected various developmental projects and took stock of the pace and progress of these works.

Prabhari Officers in other panchayats also gave patient hearing to the pleas of people and also took stock of the pace and progress of developmental scenarios of these panchayats.

Several cultural programmes and sports activities were also carried out, wherein youth and students participated in large numbers.

Awareness sessions on various self-employment and other welfare schemes were also conducted.

Meanwhile, the Additional District Development Commissioner, Showkat Ahmad Rather also visited several Panchayats in the district and took stock of arrangements and proceedings in these panchayats.

It was informed that there are a total of 178 panchayats in the district and the outreach programme was conducted in 84 panchayats in phase 1, and from 9th November more 94 panchayats will be covered where the Visiting Officers (VOs)/Prabhari Officers will visit their designated panchayats.
