Indian Army holds specialized medical camp for pregnant women in Srinagar

Srinagar, October: The Indian Army, in collaboration with Metro Zone Health Service (India) Pvt Ltd and operating under the purview of 31 Sub Area, organized a specialized medical camp for pregnant women on October 30th, 2023, at the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Khunmoh. This event exemplified the Indian Army’s unwavering commitment to serving the local communities.

The medical camp provided comprehensive check-ups and distributed essential medicines to expectant mothers, marking a significant milestone in the Indian Army’s ongoing efforts to engage with and support the community. This initiative was designed to cater to the unique healthcare needs of women before and after pregnancy and received enthusiastic participation from the local residents.

An expectant mother who attended the camp expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am immensely thankful to the Indian Army for organizing this medical camp. It has granted us access to essential healthcare services that we might not have otherwise received. I now feel much more confident about my health and well-being.”

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 31 Sub Area highlighted the significance of such community-oriented initiatives in promoting goodwill and community building. He emphasized, “The Indian Army is more than just a defence force; it is an integral part of the community, dedicated to contributing to the well-being of its people. We are privileged to have the opportunity to serve and support the residents of Srinagar and the surrounding villages.”
