SRINAGAR: Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, today extended greetings to the people on the occasion of the Dussehra festival.

He said the Dussehra festival is celebrated across the country as a symbol of victory of Dharma over Adharma and triumph of good over evil. He said that Vijaya Dasami marks the victory over vices.

He highlighted that the festival teaches us to always abide by principles of truthfulness with all our energy and resources. He mentioned that it is only truth and virtues which ultimately triumph. He made out that this festival beckons us to stick to truthfulness in life.

On the Dussehra day, which is a sign of success, CS prayed that all the tasks undertaken would draw fruitful results. He said the spirit of Vijaya Dashami will continue. On the occasion of Dussehra, the Chief Secretary wished the people happiness and peace in their lives.
