Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal arrested a chemist for possessing and supplying contraband substances to the youth and sealed his medical shop at Wakoora, a police spokesperson informed.
He said Hilal Ahmad Ganie, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Ganie of Wakoora, who had been arrested by police some days ago, confessed that his Ganie Medical Shop is the supplier of contraband substances to the local youth of the area.
Following this confession, police together with the concerned Executive Magistrate raided Ganie Medical Shop at Wakoora. During searches, contraband substance was recovered and seized on the spot and the accused (chemist) identified as Mehraj-ud-Din Ganie was arrested for possessing and supplying the contraband substance to the local youth. Moreover, the medical shop was also sealed on the spot, police said.
