Srinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau Tuesday said that its sleuths have arrested a Patwari in Halqa Bohipora in Kupwara red-handed while he was taking a bribe.
Acting on a complaint that Patwari Hashim Amin Malik was demanding a bribe of ₹50,000 from a complainant who was constructing some shops on his private land, ACB trapped and arrested the accused Patwari red-handed while taking a bribe of ₹30,000, ACB said in a statement.
A case has been registered and further investigations are going on, ACB said.
