Srinagar: Police have booked four “most wanted and notorious” drug smugglers under PIT NDPS Act in Baramulla and lodged them in Central Jail Kot-bhalwal Jammu, police spokesman informed Thursday.
He said — Sajad Khan of Mohura, Manzoor Yatoo alias Munna of Heewan, Bilal Rather of Bandipayeen and Aqib Dar alias Babar of Khambiyar — have been booked under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority. The booked drug smugglers have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-bhalwal Jammu.
Police said that many cases are registered against these drug smugglers and that they were involved in promoting drug abuse by supplying drugs to local youth of Mohura Heewan, Bandipayeen Chandoosa, Khambiyar Pattan and other areas of Baramulla.
