Rashtriya Rifles conducts medical camp

Srinagar: Baramulla RR Bn, In order to promote the critical factor of Health checkup and disease-free life of Awam in backward areas of Fatehgarh, organised a medical camp for Village Fatehgarh on 02 Sep 2023. 

This mega event was conducted under the aegis of the “Himalayan Brigade” which assisted in civil-military crafting for progressive Kashmir.

Orthopaedic surgeons, ophthalmologists, Family physicians, General physicians, and Medicine and female Gynecologist experts of Borderless World Foundation provided the collective potential to locals at the event.

Dual Commitment achieved during the medical camp was ‘to reach and alleviate medical issues in locals’ and ‘instil a sense of trust and belongingness with the Army’. To make the event reach its goal, the information and invitation for the medical camp was started well in advance through Masjids, Darul-Ulooms, Schools in 17 villages in the radius and on social media.

Staff and students of the school assisted medical experts as interpreters wherever required. Discipline committee on the occasion showcased qualities of servant leadership.

The efforts of the Baramulla Battalion enabled medical assistance to a large segment of 630 persons from the deprived section of the general public in district Baramulla. The strength included 272 male patients, 235 female patients and 123 children patients. First-aid kits to Higher Senior Secondary School, Fatehgarh were also provided during the culmination of camp as a token of affinity. Students’ efforts were appreciated by rewarded by senior Officers of the Indian Army.

The continuation of medical check-ups, medical assistance and expert advice by qualified teams was being cherished by locals. The endeavour of facilitating and extending help to citizens showcased the empathy of the Indian Army to strengthen the Awaam Army Connect.
