Claiming to be a Sub-Inspector presently stationed at the Kunzar Police Station, Ashia assured Hasan that she could help him land a police constable’s job if he paid her Rs 10,000. Hasan paid the money, but today Ashia once again contacted Hasan and demanded more money to expedite his entry into the police department. She told him that if he paid her, he would get his appointment letter within the next few days.

Somehow Hasan got suspicious and reported the matter to the Police Station Kunzer.

In response to his complaint, the police registered a case (FIR no. 93/2023) under sections 419 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and initiated an investigation.

During the course of the investigation, police apprehended the fraudster Ashia (which is in fact her fake name, real name being withheld), a resident of Tappie Khag .

During the investigation, a police inspector’s uniform and Rs 10,000 were recovered from her, reports said.
