Srinagar: A young man serving as an Imam at a Masjid in Malikangan, Srinagar has been arrested for allegedly committing an unnatural sexual offence on a 9-year-old child, police said today.
The FIR (30/2023) has been registered against the accused Waseem Raja, son of Ali Mohammad Malla, at Maharaj Gunj Police Station.
The accused has been booked under sections 377 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and sections 5 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
