Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession, police spokesman informed Thursday.
He said at a checkpoint established at Malwan Crossing, police intercepted a person and recovered 8.05 Kgs of poppy straw-like contraband substance concealed in a nylon bag from his possession.
Identified as Manzoor Ahmad Allie, son of Abdul Gani Allie, resident of Malwan, the accused was arrested and a case registered for further investigations, police said.
