Awantipora: Under the aegis of the RUMI library, a reading day was organized at IUST in order to inculcate reading habits among the students.
The programme was attended by students and was presided over by Dean of Academic Affairs, and Prof Manzoor Ahamd Malik, who encourage the students to read. He said that reading broadens our horizons and is enlightening. Dr Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Librarian at IUST said that reading nourishes our brain and leaves a profound impact on our personality.
Dean Outreach, Prof Lily Want also addressed the participants and encouraged participants to rekindle their connection with books. The highlight of the event was a book exhibition held at Rumi Library, IUST. The participants were seen as engrossed in exploring the curated collection of books.
