Srinagar, August 12; The Indian Army commenced the celebration of Independence Day with Meri Maati Mera Desh & Har Ghar Tiranga campaigns in various villages of Tulail Valley with the active participation of children, parents, and local govt officials.
The events aroused a sense of responsibility in the local populace. The series of events included many activities.
As a part of the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign, a total of 75 saplings of Bhojpatra were planted at Chakwali, near Kishanganga Sarovar by troops & villagers of Chakwali. This helped in raising awareness about the environment and encouraged people to become more involved in preserving nature.
A short trek was organized for the students of AGS, Baraub. The children started with a short trip from Baraub village to RR Hill and back. The students and teachers participated in a jovial manner and experienced a sense of adventure and achievement.
The movie ‘Ghazi’ was screened for students, which serves as an inspiration to students, showcasing the courage, resilience, and heroism of those who protect and defend the Nation & encapsulates the story of the Indian Navy destroying the Pakistani Submarine Ghazi in the 1971 war.
As a part of the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign, pledge registration for the students of AGS, Baraub was done on the online portal to uplift the campaign at the National level. The pledge registration will involve students solemnly vowing to uphold the ideals of freedom and serve their country. It’s an excellent way to instill a sense of pride and responsibility in the younger generation.
The conduct of these events left an immense and multifaced impact on the life of the civil population. They understood the role a common citizen has to play in preserving the culture & environment and helping the nation progress and flourish.
A total of 175 individuals including students, teachers, elderly people, and youth from various villages of Tulail Valley actively participated in these events.
