Advisor Bhatnagar reviews Yatra arrangements at Nunwan, Chandanwari base camps

Advisor Bhatnagar reviews progress on implementation of JJM across J&K

Pahalgam, Aug 08: In order to have a first-hand appraisal of all the arrangements and facilities put in place for the smooth conduct of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar today visited Nunwan and Chandanwari base samps.

According to an official press release, during the visit, Advisor Bhatnagar reviewed the various facilities put in place for the pilgrims, including accommodation, medical facilities, transportation, and security arrangements. He engaged in detailed discussions with the officials in charge of the base camps to gain insights into the services provided to devotees.

The Advisor, while interacting with officers at base camps, emphasized on the collaborative efforts between various government agencies and local authorities to create a seamless experience for the pilgrims. “The success of the Yatra is a result of the combined efforts of all stakeholders involved. I commend the dedication of our officials and the local communities in making this Yatra a safe and cherished experience for everyone,” he said.

Advisor Bhatnagar highlighted that Amarnath Yatra holds great spiritual significance for millions of devotees and it is our responsibility to ensure that their journey is comfortable and secure.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to the well-being of devotees, the Advisor said that the ongoing Yatra has already seen significant participation, with pilgrims from across the country converging to seek blessings at the sacred Amarnath cave. He appreciated all the stakeholders for successful conduct of Yatra till now and asked them to continue with this momentum upto the successful culmination of holy Yatra.

While interacting with pilgrims also, Advisor Bhatnagar urged them to adhere to safety guidelines and cooperate with the authorities to ensure a successful Yatra.

Senior officers of district administration and other line departments, officers of security agencies, camp directors and representatives of other stakeholder agencies also accompanied the Advisor during the visit.
