“NEP 2020 marks a significant shift in India’s education policies in vogue over the decades and seeks to transform the entire learning ecosystem from school to higher education in the country to make it into a vibrant knowledge society where higher education is widely recognized as a public good and needs to be viewed as a long-term social investment for the promotion of leadership, economic growth, cultural development, social cohesion, equity, and justice,” Prof Nath said.

He said the university is conducting a series of webinars, seminars, workshops, and training programs for more threadbare discussions in creating awareness among faculty in the implementation of NEP – 2020.

He said that seven such events have been organized so far while many more are in the process.

Regarding initiatives launched by CUK, Prof Nath said a holistic multidisciplinary approach is adopted through various domains of general, professional, technical, and vocational education offered by the university besides redesigning its courses of programs based of the Learning Outcome-based Curriculum Framework (LOCF). Internship and project-based learning is an integral part of most of the programs which have experiential learning components, he said.
