Congress to organise PRIs, ULBs conference in Srinagar

Srinagar: Congress Party is set to organize a PRIs/ULBs conference in Srinagar shortly, in which a roadmap with regard to forthcoming Panchayat and ULB elections will be prepared, besides the strategies will be devised to deal with other challenges.

“The Party will emerge stronger in the forthcoming elections and will ensure the redressal of issues concerning people for their resolution. Congress Party is an instrument of service to the people, it will continue to serve them (people) to the best of its capability,” said J&K Pradesh Congress Committee President Vikar Rasool Wani.

He made these comments while addressing a meeting of Senior Party leaders, DCC Presidents, and elected representatives of various districts, at the Srinagar Party office on Thursday.

Former JKPCC President Peerzada Mohd Sayeed, Former MLC G.N.Monga, Mohd Anwar Bhat, Abdul Gani Khan, J&K Mahila President Shameema Raina, DCC Presidents, elected representatives of PRIs, ULBs, AICC/PCC Members and others were present in the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani declared that the Congress party is organizing a daylong conference of PRIs and elected representatives of ULBs in Srinagar shortly, in which threadbare discussions will be held on the forthcoming Panchayat and ULB elections in Jammu and Kashmir, besides many issues of public importance especially rising unemployment, lack of development, economic crisis. unprecedented price rise and many other issues concerning people including smart meters and many other anti-people measures of BJP Govt will be discussed.

JKPCC President exhorted the Party leaders and workers to get connected with the people at the grassroots and highlight their issues for resolutions, adding that Congress Party is an instrument of service to the people and it will serve them and safeguard their rights.

JKPCC President further urged the Party cadres to gear up for the district level and block level protests against wrong policies of Govt towards the people of J&K.
