Srinagar: Police in Bandipora have booked four persons under Public Safety Act (PSA) for their alleged involvement in “anti-national, anti-social activities”.

A police spokesperson said that the action was taken after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority.

Those booked were identified as Abdul Hameed Khan, son of Abdul Gani Khan, a resident of Watrina Bandipora; Danish Ahmad Shah, alias Harris, son of Sonaullah Shah, resident of Aloosa, Bandipora, who police said is an “an active terrorist associate of proscribed terror outfit LeT”; Assadullah Parray, son of Haji Abdul Gani Parray of Syed Mohalla Hajin, Bandipora, also a “terrorist associate”; and Hilal Ahmad Ganie, son of Late Mohammad Akram Ganaie, resident of Khan Mohalla Watrina, Bandipora.

“All the accused persons have been booked under PSA for their continuous involvement in anti-national/anti-social activities after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority and have been lodged in Central Jail Kot Bhalwal Jammu,” police spokesperson said.
