Srinagar: Economic Offences Wing of Crime Brnach Jammu has filed a chargesheet against 8 Physical Education teachers and an agent in Rajouri for securing jobs on fake certificates.
According to a statement, issued by the agency today, the chargesheet was filed in case FIR No. 19/2018 U/S 420,465,467,468,471 201 120-B RPC P/S EOW Crime Branch Jammu for arranging fake degrees and using them for securing higher grades in the department.
The 489 page challan has been produced against 8 teachers and the agent through whom they procured fake bachelors degrees in Physical Education in the Name of Global Open University Nagaland.
The accused teachers were identified as Shaida Akhter, Gulzar Hussain, Parveen Akhter, Kuldeep Singh, Jamil Hussain, Attamjeet Singh, Raghubir Chander, Neelam Kumari Sharma and the agent as Mohd Shabir, the statement said.
The statement further reads that the case owes its origin to a written complaint lodged by the unemployed Physical Trained Youth of Rajouri which inter-alia alleged that during 2010 about 130 appointments were made in Rajouri by Secretary SSRB Srinagar and most of the candidates were having C.P.ED i.e. Certificate in Physical Education. “The BP.ED Certificates were managed by the teachers from the Global Open University Nagaland, whereas they never physically joined the University for attending the classes for BP Ed.”
It added that likewise, there are many other physical education teachers who managed B.P.Ed degrees, through Agents and produced the same before District Youth Services and Sports Officer at the time joining their duties and succeeded in getting grade pay of Rs. 2800 instead of Rs 2400 grade pay.
“During the course of investigation, statements of complainants were recorded, obtained record from the concerned Department, Fake BP. Ed degrees were seized and it was found that the accused candidates were appointed as Physical Education teachers in Rajouri on the CP. Ed basis, however they later produced BP. Ed certificates before the competent authority and succeeded in getting the higher grade pay of Rs 2800 to which they were not entitled to,” reads the statement
Meanwhile, Crime Branch Kashmir produced the chargesheet against three accused persons for illegally encroaching state land in Kunzer area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
According to a statement, issued here today, the chargesheet was filed in case FIR No. 28/2018 u/Ss 420, 447-A & 120-B RPC of P/S Crime Branch Kashmir before the court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Tangmarg against three individuals for their alleged involvement in the illegal encroachment of state land in Dhobiwan area of Kunzer.
The statement reads that Crime Branch Kashmir received a complaint alleging therein that Mohammad Najeeb Goni, S/o Abdul Ghani Goni, R/o Baghat-Barzulla, Srinagar in connivance with some local land brokers, viz., Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, S/o Abdul Aziz Bhat, R/o Ussan Bangil, Karhama, Distt. Baramulla and Mohammad Ashraf Wani, S/o Mohammad Munawar Wani, R/o Utikoo, Karhama, Distt. Baramulla had unlawfully trespassed and encroached upon State land measuring approximately 25 kanals situated at village Dhobiwan and had also erected sign boards and stone blocks on land.
The statement further reads that the complaint prima facie disclosed commission of criminal acts by the accused persons. Accordingly, the instant case was registered in Police Station Crime Branch Kashmir in the year 2018 and investigation started.
“The evidence collected during investigation of the case has established that the accused persons hatched a criminal conspiracy and unlawfully encroached upon the land. They had fenced the said parcel of land and had also erected sign boards and placed numerous stone blocks thereby illegally and fraudulently converting/demarcating the said parcel of State land into plots so that the same could be offered for sale to private buyers,” reads the statement.
It further reads that criminal culpability of the accused individuals for commission of offences punishable under Sections 420, 447-A & 120-B RPC has been proved.
“The chargesheet of the instant case has accordingly been presented in the Court for judicial determination,” it reads.
