JAK LI organises interaction cum felicitation ceremony

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry Regimental Centre, Srinagar organised an interaction cum felicitation ceremony for the next of kin of those Bravehearts who fought valiantly and made supreme sacrifice in the highest tradition of the Indian Army during the Kargil War in 1999. 

July 26 is celebrated every year as Kargil Vijay Diwas to mark the victory and extend gratitude towards the valiant soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who fought to safeguard the motherland.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to extend thanks and gratitude for the selfless service towards the Nation. To address various grievances and issues being faced by the next of kin and their mitigation, a detailed lecture and interaction were conducted by the JAK LI Records. Various stalls including Army Medical, Zila Sainik Welfare Board, JAK LI Records and Banks were installed to provide possible assistance instantly.

During his address, the Officiating Commandant, JAK LI Regimental Centre felicitated the attendees and expressed his gratitude in recognition of the selfless service and supreme sacrifice during active service in the line of duty. The event was attended by around 40 next of kin who were assured of continued assistance and support from the organisation.
