“JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani, AICC Joint Secretary Manoj Yadav, Senior Party Leader, and Former President G.A.Mir, Tariq Hamed Karra, Peerzada Mohd Sayed, G.N.Monga, Mohd Muzaffar Parray, besides dozens of Senior Leaders and hundreds of party workers including DCC Presidents and frontal organizations participated in the Satyriasis (Silent Protest) and expressed solidarity with Rahul Gandhi while assuring that rank and file of the party will vigorously support uncompromising fight of Gandhi against loot of National wealth and assault on democracy and democracy institutions in the country besides the erroneous conviction a disqualification of Rahul which has been done in a planned defamation case filed against Gandhi to silence him,” the spokesperson said.

“The participants used a black cloth to cover their faces in protest against the vendetta politics and suppression by the BJP, which is hell-bent on silencing the critics and avoiding questions on the loot of public wealth by Modi Adani Nexus,” he said.

“JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani talking to the media after the conclusion of Silent Protest criticized BJP Govt for engineering Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification as a Member of Parliament after failing to respond to his (Gandhi’s) questions over Modi’s relationship with Adani and loot of National wealth,” the spokesperson said.

Wani, according to the spokesperson, said that every worker of Congress will vigorously fight for safeguarding the very foundation of democracy which is the prime target of the Modi Govt aim to rule the country at their will after having failed on all fronts. “Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification from the Lok Sabha won’t deter him (Gandhi) from fighting against the BJP’s policies especially looting the country’s wealth and undermining the authority of democratic institutions and silencing the opposition aiming to hide behind failures. BJP Govt is pushing the country towards backwardness, which will be defeated by the Congress,” Wani was quoted as saying.”

Former JKPCC President G.A.Mir, according to the spokesperson, talking to the media termed the disqualification and conviction of Rahul Gandhi “a bizarre and a move to silence him (Gandhi) but this undemocratic move has further strengthened Gandhi’s and every Congress worker’s resolve to vigorously fight for safeguarding democracy and institutions in the country which are under threat since the BJP Govt assumed power”.

“Congress will continue to fight for the country and its people and ensure that the interests of the Nation are not compromised and democratic institutions are safeguarded that reflect the unique identity and diversity of India,” Mir was quoted as saying.
