Anantnag: A 19-year-old youth from Chhattisgarh died after being hit by a train in the Chithram area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday.
An official told KNO that the youth identified as Jugal Khishor son of Mast Ram of Chhattisgarh came under a moving train near Chithram village.
He said that in the incident he received critical injuries and died on the spot. “The deceased person was mentally unsound as verified on the spot by his legal heirs,” he said.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the accident.
