Deputy Commissioners of all districts of J&K, Chief Medical Officers, and officers from the Department of Women and Child Development, and Rural Development Department, attended the meeting through video conferencing.

During the meeting, the Secretary of Health gave directions to all DCs to review the preparations and ensure a robust head count survey and timely uploading of U-WIN. He also directed CMOs to take the lead and ensure no child is left unvaccinated. He also advised on flexi session timings so that wages are not lost while coming for vaccination of their children especially those working in Brick Kilns.

Bhupinder Kumar expressed his satisfaction that UT of J&K does not face the problem of vaccine hesitancy as compared to other states and lauded the society for taking children’s vaccination seriously based on scientific evidence. He directed all CMOs to actively support and supervise this special event in tandem with DY CMOs, DIOs, and other allied departments.

Director FWMCH and Immunization directed all concerned officers to ensure 100% due children are vaccinated by a complete and robust microplan made by diligent House to House Survey.

During the meeting, the Director of Health Services Kashmir asked all CMOs to actively participate and support the forthcoming IMI 5.0 so that no child/pregnant women are left without a due dose of vaccine.

Earlier, a detailed PowerPoint Presentation was given by SEPIO J&K on Operational Guidelines of IMI 5.0 to be held in three (03) rounds starting 7th August 2023, highlighting that the unique feature of this IMI is the introduction of the U-WIN Application across the districts where in eligible beneficiaries shall be registered and vaccine administration be recorded on U-WIN as previously done in Co-WIN Application.
