Srinagar: Police in Kulgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession, officials informed Tuesday.
They said a police party intercepted a suspicious person at Nunmai, and recovered 10.3 Kgs of poppy straw-like contraband substance from his possession. Identified as Rayees Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Ayoub Bhat of Nunmai, the accused has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
