SRINAGAR: The Director of Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhury Mohammed Iqbal, today visited different areas of Budgam and took stock of the agriculture scenario in the district.
During the visit, the Director of Agriculture reviewed the paddy transplanting scenario in the area. He marked the importance of integrated farming for the area and asked the farmers if the geo-climatic conditions of the concerned area are suitably conducive for the adoption of an integrated way of cultivation.
Chowdhury Iqbal assured the farming community of every possible technical guidance from the department. He asked the concerned officers to prepare for the successful implementation of paddy for the implementation of various initiatives under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program.
He asked the farmers to come forward and take benefit from all approved projects under HADP.
Amid prevailing weather conditions Director of Agriculture asked the farmers to follow the guidance and advisories of the department. He directed the concerned officers to closely monitor the agricultural activities in the area
The Director of Agriculture also met a number of farmer delegations and took feedback from them regarding the implementation of different programs by the department.
