Atal Dulloo discusses sponsorship of projects under NABARD funding

SRINAGAR: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo, today chaired a meeting at Civil Secretariat to review sponsorship of projects under NABARD funding.

 ACS had an overview of ongoing projects under NABARD in different departments. He also held detailed discussions regarding progress achieved, so far, on various projects in agriculture and allied sectors, as well as SKUAST Jammu and Kashmir.

Dulloo also reviewed the status of sponsorship of projects to NABARD for 2023-24 besides taking stock of the identification of new projects to be submitted to the Finance Department.

On the occasion, ACS approved several projects to be undertaken in the Union Territory under NABARD.

Emphasizing the importance of timely action, Dulloo urged upon the CGM NABARD to prepare a final list of projects and submit it to the finance department as soon as possible.

 In a separate meeting, ACS reviewed the implementation of e-NAM (National Agriculture Market) in the Union Territory. He assessed the status of the registration of farmers, traders, and commission agents during discussions with the concerned officers.

Regarding apple marketing, the ACS instructed the Director of Horticulture (P&M) to organize a buyer-seller meet prior to the harvesting season. This proactive approach aims to maximize the benefits for stakeholders after the harvest season, he maintained.
