Human Aid Society organizes grand ceremony under Sustainable Development Goals

Srinagar: Human Aid Society in collaboration with KDF-UK organized a grand ceremony at its Central office in Baramulla under the world-recognized Sustainable Development Goals 1,4 and 5.

On this occasion, the organization distributed free textbooks, stationery, uniform, and other education-related items among its various sponsors’ wards who or either orphans or living below the poverty line.

The organization also provided training certificates to about fifteen girls who were given 5 months of free cutting and tailoring skills at village Dudbugh Kindi under its Vocational Training cum Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (VTEDS) and enabled them to help themselves.

During the event, a child girl hailing from a remote village of Boniyar tehsil who has memorized two verses of the Holy Quran was also Felicitated by the Chairman of the organization.

A well-known journalist of Kashmir Valley, and a Patron of the Human Aid Society Mr. Karamat Qayoom attended the program as Chief Guest while President Janbaz Academic Khanpora Mr. Abdul Majeed Akhoon was the guest of honor. 

Chairman HAS Bashir Ah Mir welcomed all the participants and in his address, he expressed his deep concern over the increasing suicidal tendency among our boys and girls. He further said that the land of Kashmir which was called the land of Sufis and Saints but unfortunately few unscrupulous people have ruined the lives of our sisters and daughters- by establishing a prosecution center here on this holy land.

In his address, he requested the religious leaders scholars, and intellectuals to come forward so that with their efforts all these impure plans of these unscrupulous people can be destroyed.

The Chief Guest Mr Karamat Qayoom in his presidential address urged the children to consider their parents as best friends and share their sorrows with them, he also urged the parents to take special care of their children because there are people in our society who are seducing our children and forcing them to do wrong things. He politely requested the parents to take the initiative in giving their children academic education as well as religious education.

Many Senior Members, Volunteers, and office bearers of the Human Aid Society attend the program especially Mr. G.M Sofi, Mr. Mohd Sultan Bhatt, Mr. Farooq Malik, Mr. Manzoor Sheeri and besides them, Ex-ZEO Mr. Farooq Ah Najar and Mr. Gulzar Ahmad also attended the program. 

The proceedings of the program were conducted by Human Aid Society office administrator Ms. Rafia Rashid. 

It is pertinent to mention here that Human Aid Society organizers expected that SSP Baramulla Amod Ashoke Nagpuri will grace the occasion but due to the sudden visit of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court to Baramulla, the SSP could not attend this program.
