Kunzar: Townhall Kunzar was abuzz with literary fervor as Bazm e Adab Gulmarg Kashmir organized a one-day seminar on International Mother’s Day, which commenced with a tribute to the mother. 

Eminent poets from the Kashmir Valley graced the event, and Tousif Raza conducted the ceremony, adding scholarly insights to the occasion.

The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Hilal Kashmiri, the President of Bazm e Adab Gulmarg Kashmir, and the presidium was shared by Khursheed Khamosh, M. Akbar Majroh, and Ab Rashid Shahbaz as well

In his presidential address, Mr. Hilal Kashmiri stated, “Mother is a blessing and mercy of Allah and we always ought to respect and honor our mother further in thought-provoking message for every sect of humanity.” 

He emphasized the importance of the mother in today’s scientific age, where the soulful essence of the mother can transcend boundaries and inspire the human spirit. 

Khursheed Khamosh, a renowned poet, echoed similar sentiments, saying, “Mother holds profound significance in the life of every man, as she imparts timeless wisdom and touches the heart.”

The seminar was full of emotions and feelings.

The ceremony was followed by a symposium, which was also presided over by Hilal Kashmiri with the presence of Mr. Abdul Rasheed Shahbaz, M. Akbar Majroh, and Khursheed Khamosh in the presidency. The symposium was conducted by Tousif Raza, a young prominent poet, and writer, who facilitated engaging discussions on various aspects of poetry. 

The participants shared their thoughts on the spiritual and philosophical aspects of poetry, its relevance in contemporary times, and its impact on society.

The event received positive reactions from the attendees. One of the participants Khursheed Khamosh expressed, “The ceremony and the symposium were a true celebration of literature and mother, and it was inspiring to see such esteemed poets coming together to share their insights.” 

Another participant, Mr. Peer Atiq Ullah, remarked, “The discussions during the symposium were enlightening, and it reinforced the significance of poetry in our lives. It was a memorable event.”

The one-day seminar organized by Bazm e Adab Gulmarg Kashmir was a fitting tribute to the mother and tri-cultural heritage of poetry, providing a platform for poets and literary enthusiasts to come together, celebrate, and engage in meaningful conversations on the enduring relevance of poetry in the modern world.

Poets who participated in the symposium included Ab Rashid Shahbaz, Hilal Kashmiri, Mir Afroz Afroz, Shafiq Karahami, Atiqullah Atiq, Ab Salaam Humraz, M. Akbar Kalan, Mehboob Bilal, Tousif Raza, Ab Rehman Bhat, Advocate Firdous Ahmad, Nazir Ahmad Mir, Parvez Hilal, Gh. Nabi Dilnawaz, Nazir Shahid, Shahzad Manzoor. Rahat Rafiq & Gh Rasool Chopan.
