Srinagar: Under the smart city project, Srinagar’s posh Polo View market has come up with a new and aesthetic look as it becomes the first pedestrian market in the city.
The market, that is a big attraction for tourists interested in handicrafts and handloom, has been developed as an exclusive pedestrian market by the Srinagar Smart City Limited (SSCL).
CEO, SSCL, Athar Aamir Khan while talking to the reporters, said that all the electricity and communications wires have been laid underground in the market and the work on beautification is about to be completed.
He appreciated the traders having their outlets in the market for their “patience and cooperation.”
“Their businesses got impacted due to ongoing works but they cooperated and it is because of their cooperation that the work has been well done,” he said.
