Srinagar: Police have arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and Sopore and recovered contraband substances from their possession, officials informed Tuesday.
They said at Delina Ghat, police today arrested a drug-peddler identified as Altaf Ahmad Rather, son of Late Ghulam Nabi of Khaitangan Baramulla, and recovered 110 grams of cannabis from his possession.
At Kupwara Crossing Sopore, police arrested a drug-peddler identified as Nadeem Rashid Gadoo alias Vicky, son of Abdul Rashid Gadoo of Shangergund Sopore and recovered 288 SpasmoProxyvon Plus capsules from his possession.
Cases under relevant sections of law were registered in respective police stations in both these instances and investigations have been initiated, police said.
