Srinagar: Police in Baramulla have arrested three drug-peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession, officials informed Friday.
They said a police party arrested a drug-peddler identified as Shakeel Ahmad, son of Mohammad Hanief Kandal of Mawer Nowgam Kupwara, at Chellan Boniyar. During the search, 127 grams of brown sugar was recovered from his possession.
At Mirchimar Mirgund, police arrested two drug-peddlers — Ghulam Mohammad Dar, son of Abdul Rehman Dar of Mirgund, and Manzoor Ahmad Dar, son of Assadullah Dar of Chenbal Mirgund. During the search, 252 capsules of SpasmoProxyvon Plus were recovered from their possession.
Cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and investigations have been initiated, police said.
