Kulgam: A man died while two others were injured in a road accident in Khur Batpora area in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district last evening, officials said Sunday.

Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that the accident took place Saturday evening when a speedy vehicle hit a motorcycle in Khur Batpora, resulting in injuries to three persons.

He said all injured were shifted to District Hospital Kulgam, and from there two were referred to SKIMS Soura. “Later one among them succumbed to his injuries.”

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Rafiq Malik, son of Abdul Rashid Malik, while injured have been identified as Bashir Ahmad, son of Abdul Ganie, and Mushtaq Ahmad Malik, son of Ghulam Qadir Malik—all residents of Khur Batpora.

Police have registered a case in this regard.
