JAMMU: Chief Secretary, Dr Arun Kumar Mehta, today extended his greetings to the people of J&K on the eve of Ram Navami.
Dr Mehta in his message said that Ram Navami, the birthday of Lord Ram, was celebrated by the people of the nation with deep religious sentiment and fervor. He stated that Lord Ram is worshipped as the epitome of virtues and the embodiment of righteousness and morality.
Ram Navami offers the people an opportunity to renew their faith in spirituality, and moral and ethical values and to rededicate themselves to the cause of the underprivileged with service and sacrifice, he added.
