Dulloo reviews preparedness plan for Rabi season in Jammu

JAMMU: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department, Atal Dulloo, today convened a meeting on strategizing and planning the formation of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) under the Holistic Agricultural Development Programme (HADP) in J&K.

A comprehensive power point presentation was presented by Rajeshwari, S M (Agribusiness expert) in which detailed deliberations were held regarding the formation of about 300 FPOs as envisioned in HADP.

Atal Dulloo termed this project as being the heart and soul of HADP which is directly related to farmers’ income.

He also informed about the formation of Resource Persons at the block level, Institutional framework for these FPOs for training purposes, and a window for FPOs in the UT dashboard of HADP with the involvement of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj to make this project successful at the grassroots level.

Registrar Cooperative J&K, Director General Sheep Husbandry department, Director Animal Husbandry Jammu/Kashmir, Director Horticulture Jammu /Kashmir, Director Horticulture (Planning & Marketing) J&K, MD JKHPMC, J&K, Director Fisheries J&K, Director Sheep Husbandry Jammu, Director Agriculture Jammu/Kashmir and Technical Officers were present in the meeting both physically and virtually.
