Kulgam as part of TB district Anantnag declared TB-free district

Kulgam: District Kulgam has been declared a Tuberculosis (TB) free district and has achieved a unique feat two years ahead of National Target. 

Pertinently, District Kulgam is a part of TB District Anantnag which obtained Gold.

Following the National ambitious goal of achieving a TB-free India by 2025, District Kulgam is privileged to hit the milestone two years ahead of the National target.

While speaking about the achievement, the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, said that District Kulgam has always earned laurels in the NTEP activities be it Har Ghar Dastak, ACF, ACSM campaigns, community engagement, prompt diagnostic & Treatment Services.

The DC complimented anti-TB medical officials of Kulgam for achieving the target two years ahead of the National target. He said that the tireless efforts of the District administration have paid off today and that it is a proud movement that the district has been cleared of this deadly disease.

Meanwhile, the central government also awarded the District administration for achieving the feat of making the district TB-free.

On behalf of both of the districts, Deputy Commissioner Anantnag is now scheduled to attend the award ceremony tomorrow in Varanasi.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner today felicitated the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme staff here at Mini-Secretariat Kulgam.
