J&K govt notifies 102 more services under PSGA

Jammu: The J&K government on Thursday notified 102 more services of more than a dozen departments under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA), 2011.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 read with section 8 of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act, 2011 (Act No. IX of 2011), the government hereby notifies these services, timelines and the designated officers and Appellate Authorities for the departments,” reads a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) Commissioner Secretary Sanjeev Verma.

Among the 102 services brought under PSGA included two services each of Revenue, and Science and Technology departments; one service each of Agriculture Production and Rural Development and Panchayati Raj departments; three services each of Health and Medical Education departments and Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs; 5 services of School Education,  Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of Jammu and ULBs of Kashmir; six services each of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), Housing and Urban Development and Mission Youth Scheme and Scholarship Scheme of Finance department; eight services of Tourism department; 10 services of Social Welfare department and 44 services of Transport department.

As per the order, services of Unemployment certificate (15 days) and Land passbook (10 days) services of Revenue department; e-auctioning of saffron (45 days) of Agriculture Production department; registration of doctors in J&K, Medical Council and registration of pharmacists (30 days) and age certificate (15 days) of Health and Medical Education (HME) department; issuance of job cards (15 days) under Rural Development and Panchayati Raj department; applying for ration card, modifications (30 days) and new fair price shop allocation application (130 days)  under Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs will now be covered under PSGA.

Besides Mumkin, Tejaswini Livelihood schemes (30 days), Spurring Entrepreneurship Initiative (SEI) (30 days); Sahyta -Financial assistance for youth in distress (30 days) HLG Super 75 Scholarship and Parvaaz Coaching Scheme (both 45 days) services too have been brought under PSGA.
