Srinagar: Two drug-peddlers including a woman drug-peddler were arrested in Baramulla and contraband substances recovered from their possession, police informed Sunday.
Police arrested two drug-peddlers — Haroon Rashid Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Pachar, and Naza Begum, wife of Abdul Majeed Sofi of Shumlaran — at a checkpoint at Shumlaran Chandoosa.
During their search, 70 grams of cannabis was recovered from their possession.
Police said that Naza Begum is a notorious drug-peddler involved in selling contraband among the youth of the area.
