Speaking on the occasion JKPCC President Vikar Rasool Wani said Congress Party believes in serving and uniting people. “We are duty bound to make Govt accountable and answerable to people for failing them on all counts and ensure justice to every section living in the country,” Wani said

JKPCC President led six KMs Padyatra from Markundal to Sumbal in Bandipora and appealed to people to strengthen Congress Party. “Congress is extremely concerned about their wellbeing, it will continue to fight for their (people’s) rights whether in power or out of power,” Wani added and said, “our party has always respected and kept aspirations of people above power there will be no compromises on urges and aspirations of the people.”

JKPCC President assured while reiterating his appeal to people to join Haath Se Haath Jodo program in every block as it is set to restore confidence and trust amongst the common masses, who are facing tremendous hardships due to the BJP’s deceitful policies and misleading politics.

Vikar Rasool Wani also slammed the lathi charge on agitating youth in Jammu who were protesting against the hiring of a blacklisted Aptech company by JKSSB for conducting written examinations and termed it a surprising move. “Hiring Aptech for the examination is unacceptable and uncalled for,” Wani said and demanded immediate revocation of the order.

Senior Congress Leader Mohd Anwar Bhat and dozens of party leaders were also part of the Padyatra.
