Sagar meets workers delegation at party headquarters

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar met with a number of workers from New Theed Harwan at the party headquarters Nawai Subha, Srinagar.

The visiting delegation apprised the General Secretary about the paucity of basic civic amenities and utility services in their area. They said that their grievances continue to remain unmet despite their repeated pleas to the concerned authorities.

During the breadth of their interaction with the General Secretary, the delegation members highlighted the issues regarding their respective areas, mainly related to irregular supply of water and electricity, revenue services, land compensation, issuance of ration cards, PMAY benefits, road connectivity, drinking water availability, installation of hand pumps, electricity polls, and opening of health centres and schools. Sagar assured that the highlighted issues of public importance would be taken up with higher authorities by the party leadership including the party MPs.

He also called for maintaining strict discipline among party functionaries and suggested action if someone is found violating the same. He impressed upon the workers to work with zeal to shoulder people’s woes.

IIM Jammu became one of the preferred campuses for recruiters. Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu said, “100 % placements over the last year indicate an optimistic placement scenario. Despite the considerable increase in the batch size from the previous year, we are proud to announce this year’s placement season to be a resounding success.”

Prof. Jabir Ali, Chairperson, Placements said, “A jump was witnessed in the average, median & highest package offered this year. The success of the placements season is driven by the trust of the recruiters in IIM Jammu”.

The campus has been one of the most preferred hiring destinations for top recruiters in the country owing to the excellent pool of talent available with high business acumen. The placement activity was coordinated by Prof. Jabir Ali and Dr. Baljeet Singh, Chairperson, and Co-Chairperson respectively, at IIM Jammu.

With the continuous direction and guidance of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, training, and placement at the Institute is sure to scale new heights year after year.
