Apni Party making inroads in most of J&K areas with each passing day: Altaf Bukhari

Srinagar: Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Sunday said that Apni Party is making inroads in most of J&K constituencies and getting more public acceptance with each passing day.

“He was speaking in a meeting which was attended by the party cadre of Srinagar’s Chanapora constituency. The meeting was called to evaluate the performance of the constituency party leaders and workers and gauge the present political scenario in the area,” a press note said.

“In the meeting, leaders and senior workers apprised the Party President of the present political scenario in the constituency, and shared their ideas for enhancing the party presence in the area,” the press note added.

On this occasion, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said that he was satisfied with the hard word work that the party cadre is putting in to strengthen the party further in the constituency. He said, “I am pleased to see that our leaders and cadre are doing their best to ensure the strengthening of the party in their constituency.”

“It is not only about the Chanapora constituency, we are gaining public support and acceptance in most of the areas across J&K,” he added.

However, he urged the party leaders and workers to remain well-connected with the masses in order to make them aware of the people-friendly agenda of the party.

The prominent constituency leaders who were present in the meeting included the Party’s State Convener Haji Parvez, Vice President of District Srinagar Aijaz Ahmad Rather, Constituency In Charge Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Corporator Mehjoor Nagar Saleem Ahmad, Provincial Convener for Youth Wingh Soaib Dar, Youth President Chanapora Constituency Irshad Ahmad, Senior Leader Towseef Bashir, and all Ward Presidents from the constituency.

Meanwhile, three separate party delegations —including elected leaders of District Development Council (DDC) Shopian— met Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari to discuss certain party matters and public issues related to their respective areas.

The two separate delegations had come from north Kashmir’s Boniyar Uri and the Narbal area of Srinagar outskirts.

“Chairperson of DDC Shopian Bilqees Jan led a delegation to meet Apni Party President at the party headquarters in Srinagar today. Besides Bilqees, the members of the delegation included Vice Chairman of DDC Shopian and State General Secretary of Apni Party’s Youth Wing Irfan Manhas, DDC member Nageena Qayoom, DDC member Yasmeen Jan, DDC member Abdul Rashid Lone, and others. Party’s Vice President and former MLC Zaffar Iqbal Manhas who also holds the charge as party’s District President Shopian was also present in the meeting,” a press note issued here said.

“On this occasion, they convened a meeting, presided over by Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, in which the DDC members apprised the Party President of the ongoing developments works in Shopian and informed him about major public issues and grievances that the people of the Shopian constituency are facing with,” the press note added.

“In the meeting, the participants also informed the Party President about the present political scenario in the Shopian district and their preparations in view of the upcoming assembly polls. And, it was decided the party will enhance its public outreach campaign further, especially in the far-flung area of the district,” it said.

According to the press note, after discussing the matters thoroughly, the consensus was made on certain initiatives, which will be taken in order to strengthen the party further in Shopian.

Meanwhile, a party delegation from the Boniyar area of north Kashmir’s Uri constituency met Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and discussed some significant party matters with him. This delegation was led by Senior Party leader Mohammad Maqbool Khan. In the meeting, the members of the delegation, besides appraising the party president on some important party affairs, also shared their ideas for the benefit of the party in the Uri constituency.

Moreover, a delegation led by Aijaz Ahmad from the Narbal area of Srinagar met Apni Party President and apprised him of some public issues. “On this occasion, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari assured the delegation members that he will take up these public issues with the concerned officials to ensure a quick redressal of the issues,” the press note said.

The prominent party leaders who were present on this occasion included Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi; District President Pulwama G M Mir; General Secretary of the party’s Youth Wing, In-charge Eidgah Constituency and Corporator SMC Mohammad Ashraf Palpori; and others.
