Srinagar: Police in Awantipora have arrested an absconder who was evading his arrest from last 20 years, a police spokesman informed Thursday.
He said police received a non-bailable warrant from the Court of Principal Session Judge Pulwama against an accused — Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat of Reshipora — who was evading his arrest from last 20 years.
The accused person was arrested from Reshipora area and was subsequently produced before the court, which ordered that he be lodged in District Sub Jail Pulwama, police said.
