Srinagar: Police in Baramulla have solved a burglary case by arresting four persons involved in the crime and recovered stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said On February 05, Police Station Pattan received a complaint from one Ghulam Hassan Rather of Pakipora Pattan stating that during intervening nights of Feb 01 and 02, some unknown burglars had barged into his shop and decamped with cigarettes and other items.
A case was registered, and during investigations, some suspects were rounded up, police said.
Later on, one Azad Mukhtar Hajam, son of Mukhtar Hajam of Singhpora Pattan was identified and was called for questioning, who on thorough interrogation disclosed that he along-with three more persons identified as Altaf Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Reshipora Hanjiwera; Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Rasool Bhat of Singhpora Pattan, and Jamshed Ahmad Waza, son of Ghulam Mohammad Waza of Singhpora Pattan are involved in the burglary.
All four were arrested and on their disclosure stolen property along-with tools used for burglary were recovered from their possession. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody, police said.
