JAMMU: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Agriculture Production Department (APD), Atal Dulloo, today chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations for the smooth implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP) by the Project Grounding and Monitoring Committees across Jammu and Kashmir at Civil Secretariat here.
The meeting was attended by Vice SKUAST Jammu and Kashmir, Chairmen of all Project Grounding and Monitoring Committees, members of Project Grounding and Monitoring Committees, members of Project Monitoring Units, and other senior officers of APD both in person and through video conferencing.
Addressing the officers, ACS stated that this plan is a mission for transformative and holistic development of agriculture and allied sectors across J&K with the potential to transform J&K into a sustainable commercial agri-economy. He impressed upon the officers to work in mission mode and coordinated manner to achieve the desired objectives of the plan.
While reviewing the ongoing progress on each Project Grounding and Monitoring Committee, Atal Dulloo exhorted upon the members to consult all the stakeholders so that all aspects of agricultural and allied sectors are included in the plan. He delved upon the officers to consult the members of PRIs so that the actual requirements of the farmers are taken care of.
While reviewing other aspects of HADP, Atal Dulloo observed that this plan is vital for the overall economic development of the entire Jammu and Kashmir, especially people associated with the Agriculture sector. Therefore, we must maximize our efforts for the successful implementation of the plan, he asserted.
ACS further emphasized upon the officers to identify the buildings for the establishment of ‘Kisan Khidmat Ghars’ so that required equipment are placed at these centres for the benefit of the farming community. He added that the establishment of ‘Kisan Khidmat Ghars’ will revolutionize the Agriculture sector here.
During the meeting, the Chairmen and members of each Project Grounding and Monitoring Committee gave brief presentations on the overall progress of HADP across Jammu and Kashmir.
