Srinagar: A kidnapped minor girl was recovered and three accused persons involved in the crime were arrested, police said Monday.

A police spokesman informed that yesterday Police Station Rajpora received a written complaint from a resident of Sonabanjer Khaigam stating that his 15-years-old daughter has been kidnapped by three persons — Sharief Ahmad Awan, son of Mohammad Ismail Awan; Sajad Ahmad Awan, Javaid Ahmad Awan, both sons of Sharif Ahmad Awan, all residents of Pahlipora Keller.

A case (FIR No. 07/23) was registered and during investigations, various suspected locations were raided, and the kidnapped girl was recovered from village Hergam Keller area of Shopian. All the accused persons involved in the commission of the crime have also been arrested, police said, adding that after fulfilling medico-legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs.
