Orientation, training prog on technological interventions for fish seed & trout production held at Lalmandi

SRINAGAR: An orientation cum training programme on technological intervention for fish seed and trout production in the UT of J&K was today held at Lalmandi Srinagar.

The program was attended by the officers of the Fisheries department, Agriculture Department and other allied departments.

After inaugurating the training programme, Director Agriculture Kashmir Chowdhury Mohammad Iqbal said that to achieve the targets under the ambitious document of Holistic Development and allied sectors the implementing officers should go through every detail of all the projects approved under the holistic development of agriculture and allied sector. He highlighted the importance of collective efforts by all the allied departments.

Director Agriculture asked the participants to work on mission mode for the successful implementation of the Holistic document. He said this is a dream project and everyone must contribute to realizing the big dream of the socio-economic prosperity of the farming community of the region.

The Resource persons for the training programme, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Bhat Dean faculty of Fisheries SKUAST- K, Dr. Ovais Asmi Head Division of Fish division and Biochemistry SKUAST-K, Dr. Irfan Ahmad Khan Head Division of FGB also expressed their views regarding the programme.

Joint Director Agriculture (Ext) Mohammad Syeed Peer, Joint Director Fisheries Dr. Mohammad Manzoor Wani, Floriculture Development Officer Agriculture Department Kashmir Manohar Lal Sharma were also present in the programme.
