Srinagar: Police in Budgam have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman said Sunday.
He said a police party intercepted a car (JK04B-0592) at a checkpoint established at Wagar Khansahib and recovered 100 grams of charas (cannabis) from the possession of two persons travelling in it. Both persons identified as Riyaz Ahmad Dar, son of Wali Mohammad, resident of Khari Bagh Gopal Saif Chadoora, and Mohammad Altaf Rather, son of Mohammad Akbar of Chill Panzan Chadoora, have been arrested and a case registered in this regard.
