Cop dies in road accident on Sgr-Jmu highway

Srinagar: A pedestrian was killed after reportedly being hit by a car in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday evening.

According to reports one Bashir Ahmad Khanday, son of Khazir Ahmad Khanday, was hit by a car (JK01Q-7136) at Kunzer Manglora. The person was evacuated to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared him as brought dead on arrival.

Confirming the death, a police official said the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident has been detained and his vehicle also seized.

“A case has been registered in this regard,” the official said.
